There is not an excuse in the book that will cover being unprepared for Valentine’s Day.  However, whose idea was to have it fall on a Tuesday this year?  For those who are not really awake until mid-week, fret not—Partners in Sound has got cupid’s agenda covered in four easy steps, and you won’t even have to leave the house.

Skip to the most important course and prepare for an indulgent experience.  Creative favorites include chocolate fondue or a S’mores station because it’s less about the chocolate and more about doing a fun activity together.  ..Who are we kidding; it’s all about the chocolate.

Lovers Punch Recipe:  Slice some fresh strawberries, limes and oranges and place them at the bottom of a chilled glass. Thaw a can of frozen raspberry-lemonade.  Pour an even mixture of club soda and sparkling grape juice into your glass and add in some of the lemonade. Add sugar to taste and an optional shot of vodka or clear rum for some extra punch.  Add ice, fresh raspberries and mint sprig for garnish.

4. Mood Lighting

Do yourself a favor, take five minutes and transform your living room into a romantic lounge.  The key is soft lighting, and tea lights are an inexpensive way to make a big impression.  Want to add some ambiance?  Float some of the candles in a large glass bowl or vase filled with water.  Finally, add white twinkling lights or lanterns to create an instant romantic atmosphere right in the comforts of your own home.
